Backend Developer NEW

A talented Senior Back-end Developer with 6 years of coding experience to develop, build and operate, sophisticated large-scale transactional systems as well as leading and mentoring their development team. All though the Company is based in Cape Town this role does offer fully remote working. We offer full-stack web and mobile development services and always aim to be at the forefront of technology.

Objectives if the role: Our developers are responsible for building and maintaining back-end code on all of our exciting projects.

You””ll be required to work closely with the rest of the talented team to reach the product objectives by using your exceptional skills to craft quality code. Experience and skill set: Our tech stack of choice is Python and Django, but were open to applicants who have knowledge in other object-orientated languages and MVC frameworks. Coding and Design: As a developer, in addition to producing quality code in line with industry standards, you will also be responsible for providing guidance on product and architectural design.

WHAT YOU WILL BE WORKING WITH: Python Django Django Rest Framework PostgreSQL Redis AWS Trouble shooting: Our developers work closely with test engineers and product owners to reproduce and fix any reported bugs and issues. Software Maintenance: Key responsibilities will include effectively maintaining and managing various code repositories. Regular collaboration and review of pull requests are an essential part of the development lifecycle.

Managing Projects: You””ll work closely with product owners to plan and estimate project deliverables and take part in sprint planning sessions as well as project retrospectives. We work with a number of project management and productivity tools such as Jira, Trello, Slack and Toggl.
