A Solar energy research & monitoring business that specialise in solar resource assessments, is looking to employ a full time Calibrations Technician to join their Stellenbosch based team. The business provides various research & analytical services to large solar power plants and developers by monitoring and analysing solar base data, streamed directly to their offices. Salary Range: R 10 000 R15 000 per month (CTC), dependant on experience.
Job Description On-site calibration of weather stations primarily at utility scale solar power plants. The candidate will work with solar and other meteorological instruments, data logging equipment and software and communication systems. Setting up of lab and calibration of weather stations at utility scale solar plants.
Office based calibration of weather station sensors and monitoring equipment. Coordinate calibration projects. Minimum requirements National Certificate/National Diploma (N3/N6), National Diploma in Electronic, Mechatronic Engineering (a BTech Degree is not required) or any other relevant qualification Good English and Afrikaans proficiency Valid drivers License and own transport to travel to office only.
South African Citizen Excellent health Previous experience with data loggers or meteorological equipment will be highly desirable. Who should apply for this position?
