Our ambition is simple: to keep moving forward Leading globally the compliance teams supporting and covering the Global Markets business lines of Natixis CIB, notably the Sales, Structuring and Trading teams of the Equity, Credit, FICC, Commodities and Securities Financing, together with their support functions (referred hereafter as “covered business lines”). The coverage of business lines may change as a result of internal reorganization. The overall responsibilities of the role are to (i) set strategies to manage the regulatory compliance risk for the covered business lines, (ii) support the deployment of compliance risk stewardship mindset supported by a data driven and risk focused compliance programme, (iii) define and execute an effective and efficient compliance programme by developing and fostering international collaboration with the country and regional teams, where relevant, and in conjunction with the Global Head of CIB Compliance and Regional/Country Heads of CIB Compliance and (iv) maintain a strong compliance culture in the covered business lines.
The role includes: Discharging the Compliance Officer accountabilities by pro-actively assisting management in identifying and containing compliance risk, monitoring, reporting, fostering a compliance culture and optimizing relations with regulators ; Identifying and assessing laws, regulations and rules that govern Natixis operations in the region. Ensuring an effective regulatory watch, identify impact for Natixis SA ; Developing/strengthening the compliance framework by proactively self-identifying, tracking, escalating, risk managing and mitigating emerging and actual compliance and regulatory risks and issues ; Performing and maintaining the Compliance Risk & Control Self-assessment (RCSA) of the Covered Business Lines to ensure effective 1LoD supervision and oversight of compliance risks and implement effective risk-based compliance programme ; Supervising the implementation and embedding of global policies and procedures ; Ensuring that businesses and operations have effective policies, procedures and supervision and control systems for managing relevant compliance risks ; Building a compliance awareness program and delivering to the relevant staff effective compliance training, helping the staff to incorporate the right compliance culture and business conduct standards ; Reviewing and providing regulatory and compliance advice on business activities and initiatives including new products and activities and advisory, capital markets and financing transactions ; Identifying, managing and mitigating potential conflicts of interest resulting from the conduct of business activities by the CIB businesses and protecting confidential and price sensitive information by maintaining effective control of information arrangements, including Chinese Walls and information barriers ; Providing strategic compliance advice to senior management of the Covered Business Lines and of the CIB division and Compliance Leadership on compliance related risks and issues pertaining to the covered business lines ; Developing, together with the global Compliance Control function, an effective risk-based compliance testing and monitoring plan over the Covered Business Lines. To ensure that corrective measures raised by compliance controls are addressed or escalated ; Acting as the go-to Business Compliance representative on behalf of other specialised compliance teams by coordinating a team of local and global compliance colleagues, including Compliance Controls, Financial Crime, Technology Risk Management, Data Privacy Officer ; Setting strategy for managing the relationship with the regulators.
Together with Regional Heads of Compliance, be responsible for managing those relationships ; Monitoring the implementation of recommendations and requirements of regulators / market authorities in order to prevent sanctions and the risk of reputation/ image/ or financial loss ; Regular reporting to senior management and head office compliance, including the production of metrics, KPIs, KRI and other indicators ; Act occasionally as a deputy for the Global Head of CIB Compliance. The role includes participation to various local, regional and global committees. Strong background and proficiency in global markets and capital markets compliance regulatory framework ; Ability to understand, interpret, apply complex regulatory requirements to business practices ; 15 years Compliance experience, together with 5 years of supervisor/management experience with relevant Master degree or equivalent ; Strong track record to operate at senior level and managing others ; Excellent senior stakeholder engagement skills and ability to influence at senior level ; Strong written, verbal communication and presentation skills ; Strong analytical and organizational skills ; Hands on in conducting compliance duties whilst operating at the strategic level ; Ability to operate independently, acting as a self-starter and problem solver ; Reliable and resilient (challenging situations and conversations don’t sway you) ; Ability to lead an effective team on the ground as well as remotely ; French RCSI registration and experience.
