Context: Visual Merchandising “VM” (VM in ELC EMEA is complex with multiple Brands and 17 Affiliates. It requires strong Procurement expertise to ensure the business secures best value but most importantly minimizes risk and maximizes opportunities. This category is critical and drivers to support Estée Lauder Companies growth within EMEA Region.
This role will manage a designated sub-category as aligned with Manager. In addition will support the Category Director / Category Manager on projects for VM across all Brands for ELC EMEA, Buyer will work closely and manage the relationship with key stakeholder groups: Regional Office, EMEA Stakeholders, Affiliates, RDDC and finance, legal, supply etcResponsibilities for the role:Contribute to the development of regional category strategies and the increase of spend under IP management for each of the subcategories in scope. (including robust spend and needs analysis)Implement and ensure execution of defined and aligned strategies / projects for VM with support of the Manager.
Support the building of the pipeline of sourcing initiatives and opportunities for responsible subcategories. Tracking throughout the year against the savings target.Track project performance and take action to resolve off track issues throughout the year.
Integrate Sustainability, Innovation, and Supplier Inclusion & Diversity principals and guidelinesManage supplier relationships (SRM). For key relationships this includes conducting bi-annual business reviews and evaluating opportunities to negotiate across different engagements.Develop expertise in the categories in scope, leveraging external sources.
Support the development, implementation and maintenance of procurement standards, processes, tools (ELC Marketplace, VCD, Ariba) and policiesProvide support on addressable Category spend of c. $ 20million for VM across EMEA which consists of centralized projects and Affiliates spend.60% – New sourcing projects Execution of pipeline or identification of new projects (new stakeholder requirements, white space etc) aligned with savings target goals.
Co-draft the specifications for RFx with the stakeholderSelect the suppliers to include in RFx (with regard to the approved panel of suppliers).Define / implement the most relevant format for the call for RFxAnalyze and negotiate offers (by taking into account aspects of prices on short and the long term / production lead-time / quality / design and eco-design / innovation / sustainability).Propose value analysis opportunities in order to improve budgets and quality.
Ensure the implementation and application of contracts accordingly and conduct required updates to ELC Marketplace, VCD etcCategory Specifics:Complete the pricing exercise in order for the ‘offer / bulletin’ to be published to AffiliatesEnsure the follow-up and the supply to the concerned services, and in the respect for the required deadlines, of all necessary information allowing the perfect follow-up of the orders in SAP and all prices to invoice back Affiliates and/or support, if relevant, the implementation and the good execution of the contract at Affiliates level.Complete contract upload in the system and ELC Market place actions, inc for catalogs.30% Existing sourcing projectsAssess and negotiate possible improvements in the existing scopes, Rate Cards (price grids) / panel of preferred vendor listEnsure the implementation of contractual agreements (MSA /SOW) amendments and adoption by stakeholder groups inc Affiliates where applicable.

Ensuring all mandatory trainings is completed.QualificationsIdeally Indirect Procurement experience in Merchandising, Print or POSStrong collaboration, coordination and team ethic, ability to work in a matrix team environment: regional stakeholders & peers, Affiliates, global and other regions.Ability to prioritize workload efforts with alignment of ManagerCIPS or Procurement Qualification an advantageProject management skills: flexibility and capacity to adapt to changing project circumstances.
