You also have:Five years of experience in sourcing Must have a balance of both strategic and operational capacities; including global sourcing, supplier management, commodity risk management, etc.
Successful track record of designing and implementing complex sourcing and procurement strategies that achieved desired results within the category. Experience in strategic planning, budgeting and financial reporting Global mindset with experience working in an international/multi-cultural matrix environment Experience leading diverse and remote teams Experience in Outdoor Products and Industry preferred Strong listening, coaching and influencing skills Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels; particularly at the management level Influencing without direct authority Ability to listen, engage and influence internal and external stakeholders. Strong program and transformation management skills Highly self-motivated with the ability to drive change in a global organization with minimum supervision Multi-lingual CPIM or CSCMP certification PMP certifications Six Sigma or Lean/Kaizen certification Must be willing to travel approximately 10-25% of his/her time What You’ll Do The Lead Commodity Manager (LCM) (Sr. Sourcing Manager) for Outdoor Product Group (OPG) role within Strategic Sourcing focused on the effective and efficient procurement of critical components and finished goods specific to OPG products across business units and regions in support of Stanley, Black & Decker’s 22/22 vision. This role is responsible for defining, leading and monitoring holistic supplier strategies, developing category and procurement expertise and talent, and driving best practices across the business units and supply management.
Given the global nature of category initiatives, the LCM: OPG interacts with suppliers and colleagues across geographies and work cultures. Specifically, you’ll:Ensure high degree of service delivery and SBU satisfaction Consider unique/specific regional and SBU needs during category strategy development. Understand and link category strategy with STRATEGIC SOURCING priorities and SBU goals Lead the supplier selection process through management of formal RFP, RFQ and RFI processes Determine, oversee and perform the negotiation and contract management of large-scale, enterprise-wide volume purchase agreements Partner with the SBUs to ensure they recognize the business value from the STRATEGIC SOURCING team Oversees the implementation of category strategies in support of the 22/22 vision and margin resiliency initiatives Responsible for creation of TCO value to the organization through a combination of productivity, working capital, synergies, reduced risk, improved supplier lead times, etc.
Maintain business relationships with strategic suppliers for components and finished goods for OPG products and serve as an escalation point to resolve supplier performance issues Develop and foster strategic supplier relationships that deliver cost reduction, supply assurance, quality improvement and innovation Implement strategic supplier management, supplier risk management, supplier diversity, and CSR programs within OPG Specialty direct materials (leveraging Global Supply Management’s Center of Excellence) Institutionalize best-practice processes and policies and knowledge sharing within the OPG components and finished goods and ensure continuous improvement within the category. Guarantee compliance with STRATEGIC SOURCING policies and procedures and DoA requirements Drive all aspects of the Strategic Sourcing Balanced Scorecard Support Mergers and Acquisitions as required.
