About the engagement: Green Light have an exciting opportunity for a high calibre, experienced Network Security Consultant to join one of our delivery partners based in their Adelaide offices.
This position will end-to-end consultation from requirements, solution design through to implementation, working closely with internal stakeholders to successfully deliver capability and maintain high availability. The Network Security Consultant will join an established program of work and be responsible for the design, build, deployment and support of complex network security solutions. This is an ideal opportunity for Network Security Consultant with an agnostic technical background who has had good state and/or federal government end customer experience.
The role requires a forward-thinking individual with the ability to speak with business and operational personnel regarding new and existing technologies and making recommendations when required. This role does require an experienced Consultant to work both remotely and onsite at the Adelaide offices. As the engagement is for a government end customer, it does require a minimum of an active ASGVA baseline clearance.
Consultants without this clearance will not be considered. Responsibilities: Experience across hybrid network environments i.e.
Juniper, Cisco & F5 LTM/GTM. Strong expertise with network security technologies – Cisco ASA, Juniper SRX, Palo Alto and Checkpoint firewalls Data Centre & Gateway network solution design Software Defined Networking (NSX etc) Proxy experience – Symantec / Bluecoat Routing, switching and firewalls, LAN/WAN & managed network environments Good written communication, interpersonal & problem-solving skills Strong technical knowledge with solid deployment experience using carrier protocols i.e.
BGP, MPLS, OSPF, EIGRP and QoS. Analyse and assess security incidents and escalate to appropriate internal teams for additional assistance Facilitate implementation of designated framework and relevant procedures Required: 10 years professional experience as a Network Consultant Experience providing design, implementation and configuration of networking products in LAN, WAN or Internet services environments. Strong design and implementation and Cisco ASA, Juniper SRX, Palo Alto and Checkpoint firewalls Understanding of F5 (LTM, GTM, ASM would be advantageous.
