As a seed hire for the region, you will play a critical role in expanding our presence in the EMEA market. The candidate should be a seasoned Channel & Alliances professional with direct experience working in the Cloud industry, specifically IaaS, PaaS or SaaS. Key responsibilities will include identifying appropriate partners to target, driving the necessary business and technical relationships and establishing new business in those accounts.

What You’ll Be Doing:Handle inbound inquiries into DO, qualify them as potential partner development targets, and prioritize against current initiativesProspect organizations who fit DO’s partner profile, identify decision makers, build a partner pipeline and generate strong interest for DO’s infrastructureStructure, negotiate and close strategic partnerships agreementsWork closely with all internal stakeholders to explore, plan, and execute partnershipsMaintain strong relationships with existing partners and continue to build new programsConsistently achieve or exceed qualified monthly quotasBuilding and running prospecting activities (calls, emails) to targeted leads. These leads should be both self-sourced and from other marketing sourcesUsing Social Selling techniques to expand your network and open up new business opportunitiesProviding rapid response to inbound inquiries from all sourcesDocumenting and tracking within a Salesforce CRM system, which will be critical to your successBringing a high-energy, positive mindset every day which embodies the DigitalOcean principlesWhat We’ll Expect From You:Proven track record of achieving measurable goals in a partner development/sales environmentStrong network/relationships and ability to build strategic relationshipsIntimate knowledge of the EMEA market in a partner development focused roleAbility to converse in any of the following languages will be a plus: Spanish, French or GermanAwareness of emerging trends in the local market for cloud services and ability to create and capitalize on opportunitiesAbility to work independently to identify, evaluate, generate new business opportunities, and drive them to closureDetail-oriented and extremely organized with an ability to multi-task & prioritize tasksPrevious experience in IaaS or PaaS is a plusAbility to clearly understand and articulate solution value propositionsHigh-level technical aptitude to understand our products and how they fit togetherStrong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts in clear and concise termsAbility to quickly synthesize and put to use new informationExperience in SFDC a plusStrong organizational and time management skillsBachelor’s Degree strongly preferredBe curious and ask questionsWhy You’ll Like Working for DigitalOcean:We value development.
