Post Jobs Job Information Principal Cloud Solutions Architect – JD Edwards Apps to OCI in Culver City , California Partners with customers, sales, engineering and product teams to design, demonstrate and deploy Oracle Cloud architectures that address customer business problems.

Drives Oracle Cloud customer consumption by accelerating the adoption of Oracle cloud services including discovery, design and deployment. Engages with strategic customers, builds leadership relationships at multiple levels within organizations in order to design and implement solutions. Works directly with customers to gather requirements, develop architectures and translates business needs into solutions.

May implement solutions and ensure successful deployments through code development and scripting. Displays product/application understanding through highly customized presentation demonstrations to customers, and at conferences, and events. Supports customer from Proof of Concept (POC) through production deployment of services via resource configuration, planning, and customer education/training.

Creates and distributes technical assets (white papers, solution code, blog posts, and video demonstrations). Serves as a leading contributor for customers and sales on technical cloud solutions and customer success. Identifies gaps and enhancements to influence engineering roadmaps for customer driven features.

Leading contributor, may provide direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. May interact with C level.

Maintains expertise by staying current on emerging technologies. Minimum qualifications include: 8 years experience with computer applications and tools required. Ability to travel 50% international and domestic.

Preferred but not required qualifications include: Bachelor of Science-level university degree in Computer Science, Math, Engineering from accredited university; and/or relevant 8 years technical experience. Advanced degree in relevant field of studies highly desirable. Expertise in and an in depth and thorough knowledge of competitive and industry knowledge in the field of computer applications and tools; System and application design; Implementation of advanced product features; Project management; Solving technical problems with customers in technical environments; Written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills; Needs analysis, positioning, and business justification.

8 years experience and expertise in the clear communication of technical information to others through presentations, demonstrations, written communication and consultative solutioning experience. This is a remote/office based position which may be performed anywhere in the United States except for within the state of Colorado. The Oracle Cloud Architecture team at Oracle helps customers transform and evolve their business through the use of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) services. The OCI Cloud Architecture team is looking for a highly motivated Cloud Architect with JD Edwards expertise to accelerate our growing Oracle Packaged Applications to OCI practice. As a Cloud Architect within Oracle, you will have the opportunity to shape and deliver a strategy to build broad use of Oracle’s Cloud services (e.

g., Compute, Storage, Oracle DB, Oracle Exadata Cloud Service, and many more cloud services) directly with customers and OCI Partners. Your responsibilities will include (but not be limited) to the following: owning the technical engagement around JD Edwards Packaged Applications to OCI sales cycles and implementation projects; providing best practices to customers, developing deep expertise in OCI technologies and how applications and services are constructed using the OCI platform.

As a Cloud Architect on our team, you will provide exceptional technical design and thought leadership to our JD Edwards customers, while working with our world class sales and business development teams. You will lead efforts to capture and share best practices within the OCI Cloud Architect community. We are looking for someone who is passionate about the following: Build a trusted advisory relationship with our strategic JD Edwards accounts and engage with Architects, Engineers, CTO and CIO, and identify their priorities and help them to design and create cloud computing architectures through OCI ecosystem to deliver business value. Provide domain expertise on running JD Edwards Applications in Cloud, and effectively promote JD Edwards on OCI with customers Provide strategic recommendations on enterprise architectures, platforms, integration, and infrastructure required to run the mission critical enterprise applications in the cloud by implementing complete solution providing best practices to customers to maximize OCI effectiveness. Manage enterprise architecture relationship with customers and collaborate with our JD Edwards product management and product engineering groups within Oracle to provide most optimized cloud solution Experience in The Following Key Areas Technical presentations – White boarding, Preparing Product/Solution Demos, Conducting/leading POCs, Preparing Technical power point material, Writing Product / Solution white papers Technical – Experience in Designing, Developing, Deploying and/or Migrating mission critical JD Edwards applications to Cloud environments Preferred Qualifications 10 years enterprise IT application experience in developing, implementing, architecting with Oracle Applications (EBS, PeopleSoft, JDE, Hyperion, and Siebel) 5 years of hands-on experience in JD Edwards Application architecture, preferably deploying JD Edwards in the cloud.
