The International Mission Systems (IMS) Team is seeking an Associate Program Manager to Lead the Korea Aegis Lifetime Support (LTS) effort. The selected candidate will be responsible for Program execution of computer program maintenance and sustainment support efforts for the in-service Korea Aegis ships. The Korea LTS effort is performed under a Foreign Military Sales (FMS) contract managed by the U.S. Navy, Program Executive Office – Integrated Warfare Systems (PEO IWS).THE WORK
Responsibilities include:
- Overall responsibility of the development, integration, test and deployment of computer program updates for the in-service Korea KDX-III Aegis destroyers, including cost, schedule, technical execution, risk management, resource planning, and coordination across various functions to ensure on-time completion of contract deliverables
- Be the focal point for communications between the program team, functional organizations, program leadership, and various internal stakeholders
- Represent the Program to the U.S. and Korean government and industry customers and project participants during internal and external meetings
- Be accountable for financial commitments associated with Korea in-service support efforts
- Manage and provide cost, schedule, and technical performance analysis to the Program leadership team
- Ability to respond to change quickly and to effectively communicate those changes to the Program Team in a timely manner

- Appropriate degree from an accredited college or a combination of professional experience
- Prior experience as a member of a Program Management Team. Understands the monthly program management business rhythm and coordination with functional organizations for variance reporting, program status updates and Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) deliverables
- Possesses an understanding of the Risk and Opportunity Management process
- Experience working in a customer-facing role with external customers, partners, and subcontractors
- Ability and willingness to travel internationally and domestically
- Full Spectrum Leadership experience
- Ability to obtain Secret security clearance
Desired skills
- Control Account Manager (CAM) experience
- Experience or strong understanding of International Trade Compliance (ITC) export/import/licensing requirements
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with little guidance
- Self-starter; successful multi-tasker; highly organized, who drives projects to completion
- Ability to address complex matters / solutions with Program Team and Senior Leadership
- Relevant experience working with international customers
- Experience with proposal development
- Possesses an understanding of Aegis products and deliverables
- Experience with Aegis software development and maintenance efforts
- Program Management certification (LM PMDP/PMRP, LM Business Area certification, or PMP)
- Technical degree preferred
