We are creating a Data Science Academy for our employees, in order to increase the expertise in data science and data engineering across the organization. This includes an upskilling and reskilling offering for experts as well as a global data literacy program for the company. We are looking for two Data Science Academy Managers: One for the expert career paths and one for the data literacy trainings.
The academy expert manager has the end-to-end responsibility for the reskilling offerings that enable colleagues to become a Data Scientist or Data Engineer as well as the upskilling offerings for data science and data engineering experts to grow along their career paths. The data literacy program manager has the end-to-end responsibility for all learning offerings for different business roles to increase their knowledge and understanding about data science and related fields. Tasks & responsibilities In your new role, you are responsible for end-to-end ownership of the respective overall learning offering, including content updates, preparation and delivery of global training offerings.
In addition, you have the End-to-end ownership of the respective target-group oriented learning journey for employees, including technical assessments in order to identify the best-suited learning path for colleagues, depending on their upfront knowledge. You collaborate closely with HR to advise colleagues on career steps and support the hiring of new talents in data science and data engineering. Moreover, you constantly monitor the upskilling needs in data science and data engineering within Boehringer Ingelheim and optimally manage the portfolio of different learning formats, e.
g. in-person trainings and e-learnings as well as research opportunities accordingly. With your expertise you guide the organization on data science and data engineering capabilities required now and in the future and support the respective strategic workforce planning and measures.
Finally, you continuously support team colleagues to provide high-quality service to the organization, including mentoring practices as well as coaching on individual development opportunities for the team members. Requirements Master’s degree in quantitative discipline such as Mathematics, Computer Science, Bioinformatics, etc.; Advanced scientific degree desirable, e.
g. PhD, MD; experience in life science is preferred Several years of experience of relevant work experience in data science/data engineering A few years of experience of relevant work experience in adult education Several years of working experience in international teams Strong knowledge of data science and data engineering capabilities and adult learning Extended experience in training facilitation Organizational skills and experience in relationship management; Hands-on experience in (agile) project work; Knowledge of and experience in designing and delivering skill-building offerings English fluency (verbal and written) EFFECTS OF COVID-19 We will continue to hire talented people and we look forward to receiving your applications.
