The Brand & SEO Copywriter is a vital member of the brand team, responsible for driving traffic to swansonvitamins.com by developing high-quality, customer-centric long form, short form and SEO-optimized content for the website and digital marketing channels (email, SMS, social, blog, 3rd party marketplaces, etc). This position will collaborate with creative, brand, merchandising and e-commerce teams to ideate and execute written content in support of the Swanson Health business in digital and search engine ecosystems. This position is an important part of a close-knit, collaborative group, with the opportunity to contribute to strategic business projects and solutions that will drive and grow the Swanson business.
Develop highly credible scientific-based copy through research by tapping into internal experts and credible external research publications to create engaging health content that follows brand voice and guidelines to drive conversion. Responsible for using a keen editorial eye to help translate content into appropriate formats for diverse digital channels.
Diligent editing skills, willing to self-edit in addition to jumping in on other projects to edit in order to deliver high-quality, highly accurate content.
Responsible for analyzing, reviewing and implementing website pages that are optimized to be picked up by search engines, for all device types.
Drive the development of content to include keywords or phrases to increase traffic to website as well implement linking strategies to achieve domain authority and organic traffic, may have limited HTML responsibility.
When applicable, partner with third-party agencies, and conduct various testing methods in design, page and category layout and to gain the most organic and paid traffic.
Has solid knowledge of keyword research, SEO copywriting, the behaviors of search engines and the ability and desire to be continuously learning and evolving.
Establish relationships with analytics, merchandising, marketing and communicate all updates to key stakeholders.
Provide regular guidance to creative team around SEO writing guidelines and support international partner websites to ensure SEO optimization across brand sites.
Set KPIs, measure, and evaluate internal marketing programs to inform the marketing team and broader leadership on the effectiveness of these activities.
Partner with Brand marketing for blog content optimization.
Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers, management, and support resources, with a constant commitment to teamwork and customer service.
Present a professional image of SHP in all internal and external activities.
Other related duties as assigned.
3+ years of copywriting and SEO experience in content marketing, content growth and SEO keyword research, preferable in D2C retail
Ability to cull through dense, scientific information and research to extract meaningful insights and information and create consumer-friendly health content
Working knowledge of search engine optimization practices and testing: SEO Moz, SEM Rush, Screaming Frog, or similar platform
A self-starter with a passion for working efficiently in a collaborative, fast-paced, environment against tight deadlines
Outstanding ability to think creatively, strategically, and identify and resolve problems
Ability to perform a variety of tasks and keep track of large amounts of information
Ability to work within a team and independently
Familiarization with Google analytics and Adobe analytics
Strong organizational, time management, and analytical skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Meticulous attention to detail, commitment to quality, and deadline-orientation
This is a Remote position with the option to work in our Fargo, ND office.

3-5 years of writing experience in a professional environment
Portfolio showing writing experience and background
Passion for or experience in health and wellness is a plus
Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential responsibilities and duties of the job as listed above.
