com In one sentence Responsible to administer the operations of computer systems related to UNIX & Windows operating systems, servers, virtualization and Cloud technologies. What will your job look like? Provide support to Amdocs internal users for IT related support .
Knowledge to support various Desktop and Laptop models available. Should use the internal Service Now tool to log new cases & update progress on existing cases in a timely manner Follow all procedures laid out for the Amdocs IT team. Automate support inline wherever possible.
Use technical knowledge bases(internal & external) to resolve technical issues & collaborate on issues with relevant teams as required Support meeting/conference room IT infrastructure Handle LAN issues individually. Involve remote Network team for any major network activities. Manage allocation and configuration of Telephony devices.
Involve remote telephony team for any major telephony activities. Install Server hardware in the Data Center for requirements. Perform Logistics related activities- receiving IT equipment, updating asset management system & allocating IT equipment to employees.
Vendor management – Deal with various telecom, network and desktop/laptop vendor to support existing requirements and plan for future requirements Initiate procurement requests for spares whenever required and also for new Telecom, Network and PC/Laptop devices to support requirements Engage with business leaders to understand their expectations from IT Services. Communicate challenges/ risks to direct manager for initiating corrective actions where required Need to be on call after office hours and during weekends for any major disruptions in IT Service. All you need is Bachelor’s degree in Science/IT/Computer Science or equivalent.
4 years of technical support work experience with Excellent communication skills. Must be a Citizen/PR Holder. Knowledge to remote support tools like Skype for Business, RDP, SCCM, Bomgar Excellent knowledge of PC, Laptop, Thinclient & Printer hardware, Windows7, Windows10 & MAC operating system (added advantage for intermediate Linux & Unix knowledge) operating system.
Managing Cisco LAN devices network and intermediate knowledge of Cisco WAN devices, Multiplexers and WAN topology. Server operating systems like Windows 2012 and Windows 2010 and fine tuning the same in compliance with Amdocs policies. Excellent knowledge to evaluate new hardware to support growing business needs at site Intermediate knowledge of Windows Exchange messaging system and on backup systems like OneDrive, Druva Insync, Sharepoint Knowledge on UC devices like Polycom, Trio, Intel Unite etc.
, on MAC OS deployment & Configuration using JAMF Intermediate knowledge of Avaya EPBAX and configuring Avaya extensions/ softphones, with p referred Skills/ Domain Knowledge: Windows System Admin., PC support and Cisco Networking , Avaya Administration, Server Administration Good knowledge on MS suite of products like O365- Teams.
