Together our new organisation will deliver care and services to over 10,000 clients across metropolitan and regional WA with a 480-strong workforce and over 600 volunteers.

About the Role: The Team Lead In Home & Community is responsible for leading safe, effective and efficient services in the Albany region. The role provides support and guidance to the Aged Care, Disability and Mental Health teams in Albany to operate as a high performing team with a culture that embraces Chorus business and strategic objectives. This role will require a person who has excellent interpersonal skills with a strong customer focus including a mindset that can support the focus on growth and development of the services provided within the Albany region.
The Team Lead will need to foster a strong team identity whilst encouraging a sense of engagement and connection with the broader organisation. The successful candidate would be able to demonstrate the following attributes: Demonstrated leadership skills, with the capacity to lead, support, motivate and engage a remote workforce including staff and volunteers of differing levels and abilities; Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong customer focus to positively build effective working relationships, supporting day to day management and influence culture; Work closely with scheduling to pro-actively manage and ensure the rosters meet the customer needs, including support with customer enquiries and complaints; Adaptability and flexibility to accommodate change, provide responsive services and lead the team through change and uncertainty; Strong organisational skills with a high degree of drive, initiative and the capacity to deal with multiple tasks; Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team; Experience in best practice service delivery of similar services or has worked in a highly regulated environment within a service industry; Ability to deliver on and off the job training to staff and volunteers, and coaching experience (desirable); Excellent time management skills, including the ability to prioritise and schedule work to meet competing priorities; Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety and other relevant legislation and requirements. Prerequisites & Qualifications: Experience in a leadership or development role Certificate III in Community Services or similar Current National Police Clearance of 6 months or less currency.
