Essential Duties And Responsibilities The Vice President, FP&A & Corporate Development plays a central role in the Company’s strategic and operational planning and ongoing business assessments and analysis of internal programs and business development/acquisition opportunities. Essential duties and responsibilities include: Lead, develop and implement financial strategies, processes and systems, and attracting, coaching, developing and retaining top talent; Set organization objectives, and work collaboratively with key business stakeholders throughout the Company to support critical business planning, measure performance, reprioritize, and steer organization and company to deliver on key initiatives; Oversee the production of the strategic long range operating financial plan (LRP) and financial models for the company; Lead and develop the financial aspects of the company’s operating plans: the annual budgets and rolling quarterly forecasts; Contribute to the quarterly financial and commercial product portfolio review and reporting process by providing expert insight on forecast and budget variances to actuals; Implement valuation methodologies, develop cost and FTE models, benchmarks, and financial processes to support senior management decision-making and facilitate efficient operations, optimal resource and R&D investment allocation, capital expenditure, other milestone go/no-go approvals; Perform financial and valuation modeling and analysis of internal business initiatives, acquisitions, joint ventures, licensing transactions and divestitures; Partner with functional leaders and business units to establish planning and reporting processes and systems, including application of KPIs, benchmarks, cost models and best practices to drive improved business performance; Other duties as assigned by the CFO Core Competencies, Knowledge and Skill Requirements Strategic business partner with ability to accurately frame and integrate strategic and tactical initiatives, anticipate future consequences and trends and collaborate effectively with senior leadership; Demonstrated strong analytical skills; ability to understand and perform advanced financial modeling; Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment; Proven track record in decision support, business analysis, and strategic analysis; Flexibility to work in a fast paced and dynamic work environment; PC literacy required; MSOffice skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint); advanced Excel skills required; understanding of system-wide financial planning software Experience in evaluating and modeling corporate development opportunities Product Acquisition and Divesture.
Communication & Interpersonal Skills Exceptional written, verbal and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively tailor communication to varying levels within the organization; Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with and effectively influence others Requirements Education Bachelor’s degree required; MBA, preferred Experience 15 years combined financial planning and analysis, corporate finance and/or consulting experience within a biopharmaceutical company.
